The new Mercedes Maybach S-Class illustrates an exquisite blend of sublime beauty, elegance, and customized workmanship, in addition to industry-leading advancements in intelligent drive, connectivity, and driving comfort. The Mercedes-Maybach brand exemplifies refined elegance at its pinnacle.

Mercedes-Benz USA revealed the all-new Mercedes Maybach S 680 4MATIC Sedan, which boasts levels of power and performance to satisfy even the most demanding of tastes.

The most powerful Mercedes Maybach

The S 680 4MATIC is the most powerful vehicle in the Mercedes Maybach range, with a handmade 6.0-liter V12 bi-turbo engine capable of generating 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque and rocketing the luxury sedan from zero to 60 mph in only 4.4 seconds. For the first time, the new-generation S 680 has the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive technology. The 4MATIC system, which distributes 31 percent of torque to the front axle and 69 percent to the rear axle, provides the greatest possible traction and driving stability while also providing the highest degree of ride comfort and driving dynamics.

The weight and friction characteristics of the newly designed front axle differential have been improved. Active road noise compensation is one of the luxury sedan’s new features, which helps to make the Mercedes Maybach S-Class’s already peaceful interior atmosphere even quieter. The device uses counter-phased sound waves to decrease undesirable low-frequency sounds, similar to noise-canceling headphones. The new Burmester® High-End 4D Surround Sound System features active road noise correction.

A design fit for royalty

Maybach-exclusive elements include the front bumper and radiator grille with Maybach branding, engine hood trim strip, illuminated seamless door handles, and Maybach door sill panels in stainless steel lighting in the front and rear.

A two-tone paint treatment with a thin separating line may be added to the Mercedes Maybach S-Class on request, further enhancing its premium look. There are 10 color options available from the Mercedes Maybach paint chart.

The headliner, dashboard and instrument panel trim, armrests and glovebox, window frames and pillars, sun visors, backrest pockets, and door sill panel inserts, and two-seat rest cushions for rear passengers are all finished in Nappa Leather and feature diamond quilting, contrast piping, and the Mercedes-Maybach emblem. The luxury interior is completed with the designo wood backrest trim, diamond stitching on the seats, Maybach pedal cluster, and Maybach-specific fragrance.

The 2022 Mercedes Maybach is in a class of its own when it comes to technology

The rear doors may be operated by the driver and open and shut with no human effort, even on slopes, with the optional electronically-powered comfort doors. The system’s integration with the MBUX infotainment and control system, as well as the Blind Spot Assist system, provides a high degree of operational ease and safety. The closing motion of the automatic comfort doors may also be initiated or halted with a hand gesture when used in conjunction with MBUX Interior Assist in the back.

The decreased turning radius of rear-axle steering enables remarkable mobility and agility on tight city streets. At the same time, at greater speeds, the handling benefits from a virtual expansion of the wheelbase. Depending on the wheel choice, the rear-axle steering angle may be up to 4.5 or 10 degrees (staggered or non-staggered).

The new DYNAMIC SELECT setting on the new ‘Maybach’ offers optimum riding comfort and seamless acceleration.

The brightness and color temperature of the interior lighting may be adjusted in stages using adaptive rear lighting. The LED spotlights may be adjusted in size and location for reading or leisure illumination.

Pampering passengers Maybach style

MBUX Interior Assist in the back can identify people in the backseat. The head restraints extend automatically in this scenario. The panoramic sliding sunroof’s rear roller sunblind may be controlled with intuitive hand motions. In the front, this is offered in combination with MBUX Interior Assist.

With a novel deployment and inflation concept, the all-new rear seat airbags provide enhanced protection for passengers by adapting to back seat passengers and deploying in a gentle way to minimize the impact force.

Passengers in the back seat may now enjoy the complete MBUX experience, including direct access to vehicle functions, thanks to the MBUX High-end Rear Seat Entertainment system. On the two completely integrated 11.6-inch high-resolution screens, for example, you may view movies and browse internet information.

The optional silver-plated champagne flutes and refrigerated compartment enhance the Mercedes-premium Maybach’s environment. The flutes are kept in place even while the car is moving thanks to a custom-made insert in the stowage compartment and two similar holders in the center console.

The Mercedes Maybach sedan is the epitome of refined luxury, with high-quality materials, hand-painted hues, and extremely unique and Maybach-specific design elements and amenities. The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 4MATIC Sedan, a milestone in the super-luxury category, will be available in the United States in the first half of 2022.
