With the upcoming model, the redesigned 2023 Lexus UXh 250h delivers elegance and better driving performance. The inclusion of Lexus Interface, a bigger touchscreen, and Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 to the hybrid crossover provides just what customers have been searching for. In late summer 2022, the car will be available for purchase.
To better accord with the brand’s efforts to achieve a carbon-neutral society in the United States, the Lexus UX will only be offered with a hybrid engine. Lexus is expanding its hybrid electric car lineup with an exciting experience and a variety of choices for upscale consumers (HEVs).
“The new Lexus UXh aims to enhance the appeal of electrified vehicles, especially Hybrid EVs, by further evolving the driving experience and advanced safety equipment in a uniquely Lexus way. With thorough attention to detail, the Lexus team worked to develop these two key features so that customers around the world could enjoy a sense of luxury and a comfortable, safe and secure driving experience,” said Mitsuteru Emoto, chief engineer, Lexus International.
Enhanced performance
By improving steering responsiveness, handling stability, and ride quality, Lexus aimed to provide the new 2023 UXh with a more refined driving experience. By adding 20 spot welding spots to the body, structural stiffness was enhanced, and the electronic power steering and shock absorbers were re-calibrated correspondingly.
The adoption of newly engineered Bridgestone 18-inch run-flat tires to new UXh models improved noise and vibration reduction.
2023 Lexus UXH F Sport packages
The F SPORT Design and Handling upgrades have been added to the Lexus UX 250h F SPORT for 2023, significantly improving its driving appeal and sportiness. F SPORT wheels, grille, dark roof rails, black roof, moonroof, rain sensing wipers, fog and cornering lights, automatic headlamp leveling, and painted wheel arch molding are all standard on both variants.
The F SPORT Handling kit adds standard performance dampers and an Active Variable Suspension system to the F SPORT Design (AVS). The rear performance dampers swiftly absorb body flex and mild vibrations to enhance overall ride comfort and quietness while sharpening handling.
Furthermore, the AVS maintains a flat posture while absorbing excess stress, even on road conditions with a mix of major undulations and tiny bumps, thanks to the responsive damping force adjustment. As a consequence, steering responsiveness, stability, and comfort are improved. Adding a brace to the steering gear improves steering responsiveness even further.
The Lexus UXh gets an aluminum footrest and scuff plate inside the F SPORT Handling, as well as F SPORT-exclusive sports seats, steering wheel, shift knob, meters, and aluminum sports pedals. Memory F SPORT seats with heated and ventilated options are available for both the driver and the passenger.
Digital key, heated auto-dim, memory, auto-dim side mirrors, and a rear-view mirror with HomeLink all improve the F SPORT Handling experience for the driver.
An immersive experience with top multimedia solutions
The interface entertainment system, with a bigger, higher-resolution touchscreen display, comes standard on the 2023 Lexus UX 250h. The instrument panel and console area’s forms and switch placement have been optimized, which has increased overall cabin usability.
For increased usage, the wireless charging area has been vertically enlarged and LED illumination has been added to the top. In the front of the console, there are two USB charging plugs.
For Lexus UX drivers and passengers, the Lexus Interface multimedia system and associated services provide a reimagined user experience. The system has the newest display with greater quality and smartphone-like anti-glare technology, with a base 8-inch or optional 12.3-inch touch panel situated closer to the driver.
Touch and voice activation controls allow users to engage with the system.
The Lexus Interface has a new Voice Assistant that may be accessed through voice command or a button on the steering wheel. Simple statements such as “Hey Lexus” trigger the technology to respond to voice instructions.
The Lexus Interface Assistant, which was created with a human-centered approach, enables visitors to engage with the new multimedia system in a natural and intuitive manner.
The technology, which has two microphones, increased noise-cancellation, seat identification, and speaker localization capabilities, allows front-seat passengers to access media, phone, and vehicle settings like temperature control using a voice-first approach.
Drivers and passengers may use Cloud Navigation, Destination Assist, and the Intelligent Assistant capabilities with the Connected Services Drive Connect subscription. Drive Connect’s cloud navigation enables real-time Over-the-Air updates for traffic and route information, as well as Points of Interest (POI).
Google POI data is connected to provide up-to-date search functionality. In addition, Destination Assist provides 24/7 live agent support in locating the next destination. With a Drive Connect membership, the offered Intelligent Assistant adds to the regular Assistant’s capabilities.
Weather and location-based alerts, as well as address and POI search with navigation using Intelligent Assistant, are all available. The Intelligent Assistant has the audio streaming capability with Wi-Fi Connect.
Dual Bluetooth phone connection is also available, as well as standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Additional standard Connected Services are included with the redesigned Lexus UXh. Safety Connect comes with a 3-year trial service that includes an Emergency Assistance Button (SOS), 24/7 Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Stolen Vehicle Locator, and Collision Assistance.
With a 5-year trial, Service Connect allows drivers to get Vehicle Health Reports, Maintenance Alerts, and reminders.
With a three-year trial of the Remote Connect service, Lexus app users may remain connected to their Lexus UX 250h. Users may turn on the headlights, lock and unlock the doors, and start the car remotely. Users may also monitor the status of their car, get reminders, and set guest driver alarms.
