World-class performance with world-class engineering
The Huracán Tecnica uses the same 5.2-liter engine that produces 640 HP and 565 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm as its STO stablemate for thrilling but comfortable daily driving with very responsive maximum power and torque when needed.
The Tecnica has a dry weight of 1,379 kg and a weight-to-power ratio of 2.15 kg/HP. At higher rpm, the increased power is matched by a stronger engine sound, while the Tecnica delivers greater acoustic comfort within the cockpit.
The LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system is at the core of this Huracán, and it manages every element of the vehicle’s dynamic behavior by integrating vehicle systems and set-up to give feed-forward pre-control in virtual real-time for optimal driving dynamics.
The Tecnica has rear-wheel steering with direct steering ratio and torque vectoring, as well as a modified Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) and a Tecnica-specific suspension set-up. Every dynamic system on the Tecnica is tuned to deliver a highly varied reaction to each situation, depending on the driving mode chosen – STRADA, SPORT, or CORSA.
The torque vectoring and P-TCS in STRADA give stability and maneuverability, while the rear-wheel-steering provides stability and maneuverability. At every level, the engine and gearbox have been calibrated for a comfortable daily drive.
When SPORT mode is chosen, the rear-wheel steering’s improved oversteer and the P-enhanced TCS’s slip threshold provide the most driving excitement, while torque vectoring ensures the Tecnica’s agility and responsiveness in the driver’s hands. At the press of the pedal, the extremely responsive motor ignites, and the seven-speed gearbox gives a tactile and emotional shift.
The Tecnica reacts to the pilot’s every input with incredible accuracy in CORSA mode, with the naturally aspirated Lamborghini engine’s howl serving as a passionate reminder of the car’s track abilities. The Tecnica demonstrates maximum accuracy and agility from all systems through the LDVI, including maximum lateral and longitudinal grip from the torque vectoring and P-TCS, respectively.
New brake cooling management, inspired by Lamborghini’s track-based knowledge, delivers consistently improved braking performance on both the road and the track, resulting in an extraordinary performance.
The carbon-ceramic brakes from Tecnica feature specially designed cooling deflectors and caliper ducts that direct airflow into the discs to maximize heat dissipation and reduce brake fluid temperatures and brake pedal elongation. The lower disc temperatures also help to reduce brake pad consumption.
Fighter-plane grade aerodynamics and aggressive design
From every viewpoint, the Huracán Tecnica boasts a large and sophisticated design modification that impresses its dual nature of an iconic super sports lifestyle and a track-oriented vehicle. Every piece is energized by aerodynamic efficiency and lightweight engineering while maintaining a particular grace that sets the Tecnica apart from its Huracán stablemates.
A robust, inward-facing front with muscular shoulders meets a lightweight, completely carbon fiber hood, giving the Tecnica a stronger, predatory attitude. For the first time in a Huracán, a redesigned bumper incorporating the Terzo Millennio’s black Ypsilon design combines an air curtain.
Improved downforce and cooling are aided by a redesigned front splitter with lower, open slats channeling air into the wheels. The use of black at the bottom of the windshield adds to the appearance of lightness.
The car’s appearance also distinguishes it from the Huracán family: although it has the same height and width as the Huracán EVO, it seems lower and wider, with a shape influenced by the Essenza SCV12’s daylight opening line. The front Ypsilon feature’s black runs around the car’s flank to the side air intakes, highlighting the car’s dynamic life, while the body-color roof may be painted black as well.
The reworked rear retains the clean, sculptural form that distinguishes a Lamborghini. The back has been reshaped, with a new vertical rear glass window for increased vision, and the engine hood has been redone in lightweight carbon fiber to honor the Tecnica’s V10 heart.
The Tecnica’s strong rear has a revised bumper with improved air intake, a diffuser painted in body color or optional black, and new hexagonal exhaust pipes that transmit the Tecnica’s powertrain’s amplified fanfare.
While the fixed rear wing adds to the Tecnica’s distinctive lines, its aero design primarily contributes to the 35 percent increase in rear downforce over the Huracán EVO RWD while also ensuring no increase in drag: in fact, drag is reduced by 20%, improving aero balance and supporting stability during braking and turning speed.
New aero deflectors have been added to the Tecnica’s underbody for better aerodynamic efficiency.
The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is all about the driver
The Huracán Tecnica’s adaptability extends inside, as well as in the many customization choices available: the Huracán Tecnica gives what the driver desires in terms of appearance, dynamic set-up and driver feedback, connectivity, and, most importantly, on-road and track capabilities.
Inside, the pilot is immersed in his cockpit thanks to the height-adjustable sports seats. For individuals who visit the track on a regular basis, there are also lightweight door designs, a titanium rear arch and wheel bolts, and harness seat belts.
The Tecnica has a revamped, advanced HMI interface. In a huge new ‘arc’ in front of the pilot, the driver’s instrument display lowers colors and emphasizes legibility. The fun-to-drive aspects, such as the LDVI functions in a real-time display, as well as all connection functions, such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa, are all available to the cockpit’s occupants on the central console screen.
The HMI, which is based on the STO, contains networked telemetry as well as on-board diaries of destinations and track times that are synced with the UNICA app.
Color and trim options are available as standard and optional, allowing for both luxury and sporty characteristics.
The Ad Personam program offers over 200 additional paint options in addition to the eight standard exterior colors, as well as a new Alcantara interior trim designed specifically for Tecnica, and additional exclusive options such as stitching designs and colors and the ‘Tecnica’ motif embroidered into seat bolsters.
Aside from Tecnica’s specific features, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department allows customers to personalize their Huracán Tecnica with nearly endless color and trim combinations.
