Sustainable materials are used throughout the interior, such as Dinamica, a microfiber material resembling suede, made from nearly 50% recycled polyester. The RS models feature deep black Dinamica, while the fabric Cascade, made from 15% selvage and 35% recycled polyester, is used in the seats and door mirrors. The carpeting and floor mats are crafted from Econyl, consisting of 100% recycled nylon fibers.

Advanced Technology and Connectivity

The GT family is equipped with numerous Audi Connect services, on-demand functions, and an app store. The Audi virtual cockpit now includes information on battery temperature and maximum possible charging power in real-time. RS e-tron GT models feature RS-specific displays, and the RS e-tron GT performance offers a white power display and speedometer, a nod to the 1994 Audi RS 2 Avant.

These motors produce 415 kW (564 PS) each, with power reserves for extreme driving. The drive system’s maximum output in the S e-tron GT is 500 kW (679 PS), 630 kW (856 PS) in the RS e-tron GT, and 680 kW (925 PS) in the RS e-tron GT performance, making it Audi’s most powerful production car.

The fully electric Gran Turismo offers impressive acceleration, with the S e-tron GT reaching 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, the RS e-tron GT in 2.8 seconds, and the RS e-tron GT performance in just 2.5 seconds. The S e-tron GT has a top speed of 245 km/h, while the RS models reach 250 km/h.

Audi has developed a new, larger brake system with standard steel discs and black calipers for the S e-tron GT, available in red as an option. Both RS models include tungsten carbide-coated brake discs, with calipers available in black, red, or orange. Carbon-fiber ceramic discs are available for the entire e-tron GT family, with ten-piston calipers standard in anthracite and optional in red.

Despite increased power, Audi has reduced the weight of the rear axle motor by around ten kilograms through redesigned components and optimized cooling. The driveshaft in the powertrain has been strengthened for smooth power distribution, and the electronics responsible for all-wheel drive distribution have been reworked for optimal performance in all drive select modes.

Lighter Battery, Increased Range

Audi has enhanced the high-voltage (HV) battery by reducing its weight and increasing its energy density. The battery now weighs 625 kilograms with a gross storage capacity of 105 kWh (net: 97 kWh). Improvements include a two-layer cooling plate, increasing capacity by 12%, and a redesigned cooling system for the cells. These enhancements result in a higher cell energy density, increasing recuperation from 290 to 400 kW.

The maximum charge and discharge currents have been increased to 400 amps, with changes in cell chemistry and an optimized thermal management system allowing more power to flow during charging. The newly designed charging system of the combined booster converter reduces weight by 2.3 kilograms and improves voltage conversion stages.

Audi has raised the maximum charging power to 320 kW, enabling the HV battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes at a high-power charging (HPC) station. In as little as 10 minutes, the battery recharges to provide a range of up to 280 kilometers.

It neutralizes body vibrations during smooth driving, compensates for pitching and rolling, and features a comfort entry function that adjusts the car’s height when stationary.

Audi also offers all-wheel steering, reducing steering effort at lower speeds and improving stability at higher speeds. This system rotates the rear wheels up to 2.8 degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels up to 50 km/h for increased agility and maneuverability, or in the same direction above 80 km/h for better stability.
